After releasing their monstrous debut album 'Servants, Animals, or Anything Else' a year ago, the Brooklyn-based collective known as 'Think Tank' release their newest audio/visual project titled 'lid'. This new release shows the band turning their previous sound on it's head and abandoning traditional form and structure for a more raw artistic display. 'Lid' is a twenty-one minute performance that combines 16mm film (that was hand spliced together by the band) with an experimental and improvisational music piece. The band traverses many moods and themes: quiet, ominous cello bursts into a noise explosion that eventually calms into a mixture of beautiful saxophone and atmospheric guitar. Recorded in one take on April 30th, 2016 in Brooklyn, NY with beautiful 16mm visuals projected on both the band and the environment around them which creates a truly wonderful sight.
